Launched in 2013, Traffic is a Frankfurt-based Vinyl-label and artist collective, which is representing a bunch of artists born and raised in and around Frankfurt. The label is the result of a long journey based on friendship and development, we try to show our own interpretation of electronic music and want to create a base for upcoming artists.
Patrick Klein is a DJ and producer, originally from Frankfurt and currently living in Berlin. As a DJ he plays both national and international, in Germany mostly at Club der Visionäre and Robert Johnson where he holds his residency. He has been touring not only around Europe but also to North America and Asia. As a producer he’s releasing on his own label Traffic and several others like Sensual, White, Subtil, Project London, Ministerium Records and Club Vision. His sound can be described as a mixture between ruff and organic house, experimental soundscapes up to broken beats and more complex rhythmic patterns.
In 2007 Martyné started to buy his first record players, after getting inspired by the energy and different structure of electronic music he listened to at infamous Robert Johnson. It was even the time when he and his fella Patrick Klein started to run first techno parties. Martyné’s talent and ambitions to play records leads to a residency at Frankfurt’s Dora Brilliant and his first vinyl release on Einzelkind’s label “La Peña”. After several appearances on regional electronic parties, Martyné invented the vinyl only label “Traffic” together with his friends Bodin&Jacob and Patrick Klein. Afterwards he gained a stronger international reputation and left his footprints on several international top spots like Closer/Kiev, Club der Visionäre/Berlin or Badaboum/Paris.
Due to his successful and very own styled releases on Traffic, Be_Chosen and Sensual, Martyné continues with upcoming releases on notable labels like Pressure Traxx or Assemble Music. Nowadays Martyné’s music productions have influences of several styles like: Breakbeat, House, Techno or Electro. Even this is reflected by his well digged and sorted record collection. Since 2015 Martyné is an official resident of Robert Johnson, his source of inspiration.
