Ministerium Club appeared at the end of 2012 with the goal of further enriching Lisbon’s growing clubbing scene and give a local and international crowd some of the best underground House and Techno music. Four years later it’s still going and maintains its intent. The club has been owned and run by the same crew from day one and early intentions have now materialized with the launch of Ministerium Records. Booker and resident DJ Joao Maria, who also owns Assemble Music Records, runs the label and has brought on board the likes of Jorge Caiado, also a resident dj at Ministerium Club, Phil Evans, Markus Sommer, Michael Melchner & Patrick Klein. Expect many more things to come.
In the game for 12 years now, Michael Melchner has spent at least 10 of those establishing his foundations as a DJ and constantly building on them as a resident at the Rakete Club, in his home town of Nürnberg, where he was born in the mid-80s. Becoming ever more accomplished and knowledgeable in the tricks and secrets of that most fundamental thing in DJing, which is telling a story and leading a crowd on a trip, he built a following of clubbers, who hit the club just to see him.
